Punkin Chunkin

Tommy likes trebuchets!  Truthfully, he mostly fussed and slept, but he's a baby so there's still time.

Closing

Tommy was riveted by the closing for our new house.

Tommy parties!

Tommy enjoyed his first Halloween and submitted to his costume without too much complaining.

Every baby needs a pumpkin family.

and a roasted pig's head.  (Although this is technically not a pic of the little guy, it's too good not to post.)
Good thing purple people eaters don't eat bats.  Tommy was safe.
Aunt Liz's costume was much less frightening.
Our little bat was tuckered out...
so he went to bed...
...only to wake up later.  T doesn't like to miss a party.
Passing out candy in costume was fun, but Tommy was mad that Mommy wouldn't let him eat any.
Happy Halloween!

Tommy swims!

Tommy went swimming for the first time last week.  Mommy wasn't sure if he liked it, but he didn't hate it.  Thanks to Aunt Erin for her assistance.

Fall

Here are various recent pictures.  Tommy and his parents are enjoying the cooler weather.

We are big fans of green.
May I help you?
Tommy practices standing.
Tommy needs more practice.

Tummy time now sucks less.  Notice I did not say, "Tummy time is now fun."
So sleepy.

The horns

Don't mess with the bull. You'll get the horns.

Success!

Tommy rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time today.  Twice!

I was just as surprised as you, Mom!
In honor of his success, Mommy is posting about some recent failures.

Sometimes an outfit is a little too apropos.  While wearing his "lil' squirt" outfit, Tommy took the opportunity to pee all over the doctor's exam room.  The nurse thought it was funny.  Mommy and Daddy, less so.
Pretty sure you burned the beet chips, Mom.
Tommy is still working on spatial reasoning:

I am going to put this ball in my mouth.
No seriously.  I am.

I'm just regrouping.  I'm not giving up.
Man down!
This ball will not defeat me.

For T's clamoring fans

Mommy apologizes for not updating frequently.  Turns out, it's hard to get to the computer every day!  But Tommy is perfecting the long nap, so blogging may improve...

Tommy enjoyed his first trip to Pittsburgh.  At the least the parts he was awake for.

Tommy is surprisingly attentive for bedtime stories.

Straight chillin.

Sometimes "sleeping like a baby" doesn't look very restful.
Tommy has discovered his hands...and they are delicious.
Tommy is modest.
The beach is awesome.  So are law firm beach towels.
Tummy time: still no ones favorite time of day.

A blur of speed.

Tommy is a fan of Grandpa's chair.
